Current medical knowledge indicates that AIDS is a disorder which is not communicated through casual contact. AIDS substantially interferes with the life activities of those who contract it and hence is regarded as a disabling condition by Kean University. University policy forbids discrimination on the grounds of disability, including AIDS/HIV. Acts in violation of this policy by faculty, staff or students are forbidden.
