The University offers a Flex Plan that allows you the convenience of not having to carry cash for dining or purchases on campus. Spend your Flex dollars at any campus food service location, the Marketplace, the campus bookstore, and vending machines. It’s an easy and convenient system which allows you to deposit a dollar amount onto your Cougar ID card and use it as a debit card.

Unlike the meal plans, which are used on a week-by-week or semester basis, Flex dollars are valid throughout the academic year and can be purchased independently or to supplement the mandatory meal plan. Flex dollars are rolled over from semester to semester and any unused Flex dollars are reimbursed at the end of the spring semester. A minimum of $50 is required to open a Flex plan and Flex dollars can be added to your account at any time.

Students receiving financial aid can use excess financial aid funds or student loans to purchase a Flex Plan. In the event the financial aid package is adjusted, students are responsible for any charges incurred on the Flex Plan.

Flex plan applications can be printed by selecting the appropriate student, faculty or staff menu on KeanWISE. The completed application should be mailed to the Office of Student Accounting with the appropriate payment or funding information. Applications can also be obtained at the Office of Student Accounting.
