Field Experience

The Field Experience Course, PSY-4950, offers students a valuable work experience in psychology. This course allows students to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom to various "real life" settings. Limited space is available for this 3 credit course. 
 

Requirements for students taking PSY-4950: Field Experience are:

*     A commitment of at least 12-15 hours per week of service (depending on needs of
       the agency; exact hours to be determined between student and agency) 
*     Supervision with field supervisor at the field agency location
*     Regular meetings with the faculty supervisor
*     Monthly group meetings with other field experience students

Pre-requisite criteria are: 

65 credits / 15 credits in Psychology
2.5 GPA/ 3.0 GPA in Psychology major 
Must be a junior or senior Psychology major
Approval by instructor
NO current Incompletes in courses
Completion of relevant elective courses
