About

Dr. Katz served as President of the Kean Federation of Teachers and Assistant Director of English programs at the Modern Language Association. He is a film reviewer, avid gardener, politics; and sports enthusiast.

Advice for Students Preparing for Your Class:  “Read literature assigned for each class at least twice: at least once before class and at least once after class. Do not wait to write essays until just before they are due. Write at least three drafts before you submit your essays. Don’t assume any idea is self-evident.  If it is, it doesn’t belong in an essay. “
