About

Dr. Bloom has served as an assistant professor, as well as an advisor and coordinator, in the Department of Elementary, Middle School and Secondary Education at the Kean-Ocean campus in Toms River, N.J.

She previously served as the assistant dean, as well as the director of student teaching and certification, for the College of Education at Monmouth University.  She has been a teacher, school district administrator, and director of statewide writing assessment for the New Jersey State Department of Education. She is responsible for developing the "New Jersey Registered Holistic Scoring Method for Writing Assessment.”

Degree Information: Ed.D., Rutgers – The State University of New Jersey;  M.A. from Rowan University; B.S. from University of Minnesota.

Courses Taught: Reading Language Arts in the Subject  Area, Middle School Curriculum and Philosophy, Social Studies and Current Issues, English and Language Arts K-12
