About

Dr. Shaffer-Koros served as editor of the Edith Wharton Review for 13 years, and currently serves as treasurer for the International Edith Wharton Society and International Poe Studies Association. She has published extensively on Edith Wharton, Edgar Allen Poe, Gwendolyn Brooks, and other world authors, and has presented numerous academic papers in the United States and abroad Department.

Degree Information: Ph.D. in Romance Languages, University of Pennsylvania 

Courses Taught: American Literature, Advanced Seminar (M.A. in Liberal Studies), and Representations of The Holocaust in Film and Literature.

Primary Area of Expertise:  English, with a focus on 19th century writers and history, as well as Holocaust literature.
