ART HISTORY*

The Art History 18 credit minor allows students from across Kean University’s diverse student body to study art history as an adjunct to studies in their major. An art history minor is a natural complement to studies in psychology (art therapy), history (historic preservation, history of architecture), design (historic preservation, history of architecture), business (arts administration), and communication (film studies). The courses in the art history minor give students a solid background in general art history surveys and expose them to at least one non-western area, and also allow them to sample a diverse array of time periods and cultures at the upper division level.
