Kean Galleries
Kean University Galleries has a rich and diverse exhibition program. As an educational resource we regularly feature the work of faculty and students in the James Howe Gallery and the Nancy Dryfoos Gallery. Many students get their first opportunity to show their work in the Student Gallery. Other exhibitions integrate the visual arts with various academic programs throughout the university. Shows in the Karl and Helen Burger Gallery highlight cultural issues and often are interdisciplinary in nature. The Human Rights Institute Gallery highlights issues related to human rights violations and victories around the world. At Kean University, we believe that art can be an effective vehicle for social change and in building awareness of critical world issues.

Burger Gallery
The Karl and Helen Burger Gallery, is located in the Maxine and Jack Lane Center for Academic Success building across from the library. This is the largest art gallery on campus and features four exhibitions per academic year. These shows are intended to provide opportunities for our students, faculty and regional audience to become more familiar with and understand the diverse peoples of our world through art. With this exhibition program and the multi-cultural initiative, Kean University is expanding its influence to a wide audience and is an active partner with the community to spread knowledge and encourage the appreciation of the visual arts, design and culture.
The Karl and Helen Burger Gallery is open during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
