At KEAN, we know that choosing where to attend college is one of the most important decisions a person can make. And we realize it’s a team effort. We provide information, valuable resources and statistics to parents and family members seeking to make an informed decision.

Campus Information

Kean University is located in Union, NJ. Situated on 180 pristine acres, Kean combines the beauty and serenity of a suburban campus with easy access to all of the cultural offerings of New York City.

Kean maintains its own police department that is conveniently located adjacent to the residence halls on campus. All Kean University police officers are certified by the State of New Jersey and patrol the campus 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

The Department of Public Safety & Campus Police offers escorts to any student that requests one while walking on campus during evening hours. “Blue Light” telephones have been strategically placed at 13 outdoor locations throughout the campus for use in both non-emergency and emergency situations.

Kean prides itself on creating tomorrow’s jobs, today. The university strives to prepare its students to not only compete, but to thrive in today’s global economy. We specialize in many of the fields that offer the most employment opportunities over the next decade, including: education, nursing, science and technology, physical therapy, occupational therapy and accounting.
