About
At the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez I was involved in doing research with halophilic Archaea in solar salterns in Cabo Rojo, PR. I went into the Environmental Science PhD program in Rutgers University in 2006 where I worked in Dr. Costantino Vetriani’s Deep-Sea Microbiology lab studying aerobic alkane oxidizing bacteria in deep-sea hydrothermal vents.
