You may complete your 20 hours of observations at a public or charter school of your choice. Consider schools with which you have an established personal connection or professional relationship. When seeking opportunities, be sure to remind school staff that your observation is a New Jersey Department of Education requirement. There are two documents below. The first explains the observation assignment and has some questions to help guide you. The second document is a letter of introduction that introduces you to district personnel and will verify that you have completed the observation hours. Print out a copy and take it with you to your observation in order to obtain be permitted to conduct the observations, and to secure the appropriate signatures afterwards.
