Congratulations on your acceptance to Kean University! Please follow our Five Quick Steps to enrollment which will prepare you for your first day of class as a Kean student:

1.  Submit your Deposit.

Pay your $175 non-refundable tuition deposit to reserve your spot in the Kean Class of 2022!

Two easy ways to pay:

                                           OR

  • Mail a check or Money Order made payable to Kean University, being sure to include your name and Kean ID:

Reminder, your Accepted Student Response Survey can be completed online. If you have any questions, please call: 908.737.7100

2. Take the ACCUPLACER Placement Test.

You may be required to take the ACCUPLACER Placement Test as an evaluation of your academic skills. If the test is required, you’ll receive an email from our School of General Studies Placement Testing Office. If you received notification that you are exempt, go on to Step 3!

  • Register for your Placement Exam
  • Prepare for the exam to ensure proper course registration
  • Take the exam
  • Review your placement test scores to prepare for course registration

3. Receive Pre-Registration Advisement     

Immediately following the ACCUPLACER Placement Test, you will attend a pre-registration advisement session where the School of General Studies will go over your placement test scores and discuss course placement. You will also receive your date to register for Fall classes at new Student Orientation.

4. Make Kean Your Home. 

Planning to live on campus? Interested in the new freshman residence hall? Complete your housing application online. Log in to your KeanWISE account, and fill out the Housing Application

5. Attend New Student Orientation.

Join your #kean2022 classmates for the first time at New Student Orientation. In addition
to getting acquainted with the campus you will register for the Fall semester.

1. Submit your Deposit.

Pay your $175 non-refundable tuition deposit* to reserve your space in our upcoming class.

Two easy ways to pay:

  • Pay online at http://www.kean.edu/deposit using your User ID and Password which was provided in your acceptance email and letter.  If you encounter any issues when trying to make your deposit online, please email recruiter@kean.edu for assistance.
  • Mail a check or Money Order made payable to Kean University, being sure to include your name and Kean ID:

Then, please complete our Accepted Student Response Survey. If you have any questions, please call: 908.737.7100

2.  If required, register for the ACCUPLACER Placement Exam

Students transferring in at least 28.5 credits to Kean University, or who have completed college level (Non-Developmental) courses in English and Math, are exempt from taking the University’s placement exam. 

If you are required to take our placement exam, please visit placementtest.kean.edu to schedule your appointment.  If you need more information, please call the Center for Academic Success at 908.737.0340.

3. Review Your Program Evaluation

  • Log into KeanWISE using your User ID and Password which was provided in your acceptance e-mail and letter;
  • Click on the “Students” tab;
  • Underneath Academic Profile, select “Program Evaluation”
  • Select “Transfer Equivalency” under "Academic Profile";
  • Open to view and print a copy of your Program Evaluation to bring with you to each Advisement appointment.

You may also visit the One Stop Service Center on the first floor of the Administration building to obtain a copy of your program evaluation.

If you have questions about your Program Evaluation, please contact your Transfer Evaluation Specialist.

4.  Schedule your mandatory Pre-Registration Advisement appointment

Contact the appropriate Academic department to schedule your Pre-Registration Advisement Appointment.  During this appointment you will review your Program Evaluation and receive advisement on selecting courses for self-registration. 

To prepare for your Advisement appointment, log into KeanWISE  to print a copy of your Program Evaluation to review with your Advisor (see access instructions in step 3).  Please send an email to the appropriate department contact to schedule your appointment, and be sure to include your Kean Student ID # and a contact number where you can be reached. 

 5. Register for classes

Now you’re ready to register for classes! You can register in two ways:

  • From the comfort of your own home/ computer. Watch this quick video to learn how to log into KeanWISE and register for classes yourself. Fast. Easy. Simple.
  • Visit the Admissions Office or One Stop Service Center to register during regular business hours.

Step 1. Submit Your Deposit

Pay your non-refundable tuition deposit to secure your seat at Kean University! All deposits are applied towards your graduate tuition.

  • $175 Non-refundable deposit – All other graduate programs
  • $500 Non-refundable Deposit - Combined School and Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.), Speech-Language Pathology Doctorate (SLPD), Occupational Therapy (M.S.), Physical Therapy (DPT), Speech Language Pathology (M.A.), and Counseling (M.A. and Certification).

  • Pay in person at Student Accounting located on the third floor of the Administration Building.

Step 2: Submit your Immunization Records

For information on how to submit immunization records please visit: http://www.kean.edu/immunizations. Records can be submitted through email, mail, or in person at Health Services in Downs Hall, Room 126.

Step 3: Contact Program Coordinator for Academic Advisement

Contact the appropriate Academic Program Coordinator to schedule your Pre-Registration Advisement Appointment.  During this appointment you will receive advisement on selecting courses for self-registration.

Step 4: Register for Classes

Now you’re ready to register for classes! You can register in two ways:

Step 5: Attend Graduate Orientation on August 9, 2018!

Meet your future classmates and professors at Graduate Orientation, an event for you to meet your fellow classmates, speak with your program coordinator, and learn about the many student support services available to Kean graduate students
