Oral History

The oral history program began in 1982 as a critical component of the Holocaust Resource Center (HRC). HRC has amassed thousands of hours of testimony by survivors and liberators. The collection now holds approximately 250 oral testimonies. The University’s oral history project is associated with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., and Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The book Holocaust Testimonies in New Jersey is based on these testimonies, and available in the HRC.
