Ms. Kozel is the co-editor of the forthcoming Quakers and their Allies in the Abolitionist Cause, 1754-1808 (2015) with Maurice Jackson of Georgetown University.  She is a frequent presenter for national and international academic conferences, including Celebrating the Life of Quaker Humanitarian Anthony Benezet (Paris, 2013) and the Society of Early Americanists (London, 2014).

Courses Taught: History of Civil Society in America and Worlds of History.

Primary Area of Expertise:  The history of slavery, abolition, and freedom in the greater Philadelphia area, with a concentration on Monmouth and Burlington Counties. Her interests also include the evaluation of comparative slave systems, the history of Quakerism, and social justice in the 18th century.
