The mission of the School of General Studies is to significantly improve the academic success of students by assisting with their general education requirements and declaring a major in a timely manner. Additionally, the school focuses on student retention and accessibility to academic support programs that promote integration into the University.
In addition to running the General Education Program, the school provides support to some of the University's special academic programs, including non-credit reading courses, A-TEAM activities and programs during its teach-out period.
The School of General Studies coordinates offerings of general education mathematics and composition courses.
