Kean Ocean - Office of Transfer Admission

Transfer students with a minimum of 30 college-level credits can transition to Kean Ocean.  Now offering more than 30 undergraduate degree programs, the Kean Ocean combined degree program is the most affordable way to obtain a four-year degree on a single campus in New Jersey.  To complete the Bachelor's degree, students will complete predescribed courses with OCC, then transfer to Kean Ocean to complete the remaining courses with Kean University all while remaining on the OCC campus.  For a listing of undergraduate programs offered and the curriculum guide sheets for each program offered, click here.

TRANSFER ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum GPA of 2.0
​(Note: All students are admitted as Intended Major students. Once admitted, your academic major will explain the declaration process in further detail. Some majors may require a higher GPA in order to be declared).

Minimum of 30 college credits required
Students transferring in to Kean Ocean may be required to complete additional coursework with Ocean County College for lower division required courses not offered through Kean Ocean.

Visit www.kean.edu.  Click on Apply Now, then select the Transfer Applicants drop down menu for instructions and a link to the online application portal. 

Please be sure to select Kean Ocean as your intended home location, as well as the major of your choice that is specified as Kean Ocean. 
 

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS ARE REQUIRED:

In order to process your application, official transcripts are required from all previously attended colleges, including Ocean County College.  Please request and forward all official transcripts to:

For Kean courses being offered at Ocean County College, click here to access the KeanWise system. Click on Students or Prospective Students, then on Search for Sections. In searching for sections, select Ocean County College in the Location field (at the bottom of the Search for Sections page). Your search will return classes scheduled for the OCC site.
