ETHICS TRAINING FOR ADJUNCT FACULTY MEMBERS

The New Jersey State Ethics Commission (“Commission”) recently modified its training requirement for the adjunct faculty of the State public colleges and universities. In lieu of requiring adjunct faculty members to complete an online training program module, the Commission is now requiring that adjunct faculty receive and review a copy of the brochure entitled, “Ethics Standards in Brief – College and University Adjunct Faculty.” Therefore, adjunct faculty members will not be required to complete the online training program module. Upon your receipt and review of the brochure, please complete, sign and date the attached receipt form and return to the Ethics Liaison Officer in the Office of University Counsel, Kean Hall Room 117.

    ETHICS TRAINING FOR ACADEMIC SPECIALISTS

The New Jersey State Ethics Commission modified its training requirement for special State employees (Academic Specialists) of the State public colleges and universities.  In lieu of requiring special State employees to complete an online training program module, the Commission is now requiring that special State employees receive and review a copy of the brochure entitled, “Ethics Standards in Brief – Special State Employees.”  Therefore, Academic Specialists are not required to complete the online training program module.  Upon your receipt and review of the brochure, please complete, sign and date the receipt form and return to the Ethics Liaison Officer in the Office of University Counsel, Kean Hall Room 117.

    ETHICS TRAVEL FORM
NEPOTISM PROHIBITIONS - SUPERVISORY CONFLICTS OF INTEREST CERTIFICATION FORM

Pursuant to N.J.S.A.52:13D-21.2(c), no State officer or employee may supervise or exercise authority over the personnel actions of a relative* of the State officer or employee.  The New Jersey State Ethics Commission has determined that nepotism prohibitions also apply to non-related cohabitants and to supervisors and subordinates who are not cohabitating but are involved in dating relationships.  Accordingly, all supervisors must complete a Supervisory Conflicts of Interest Certification Form.   Upon your receipt and review of the form, please complete, sign and date the certification form and return to  the Ethics Liaison Officer in the Office of University Counsel, Kean Hall Room 117.
