Dr. Boyd-Jackson served as president of the N.J. Chapter Association of Black Psychologist from June 1999 until 2002. She also served as co-chair of the N.J. Psychological Association, Academic and Scientific Affairs Committee from January 1998 to December 2001. Her research interests are in the area of understanding the psychosocial impact of racism, issues related to self-esteem, and racial identity.  She has presented on topics related to parenting skills, clinical disorders, racism and prejudice and also published in this area. Additionally, Dr. Boyd-Jackson maintains a part-time private practice in Union, New Jersey.

Primary Area of Expertise: Clinical and Counseling Psychology, with a focus on issues related to depression, suicide and anxiety.
