Kean University offers scholarship opportunities to our transfer student population. These scholarships can be divided into 2 categories.

TRANSFER MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
No Application Required

The Transfer Merit Scholarship is a one-time $1,000 scholarship, awarded via the Office of Admissions based on academic performance at an accepted transfer student’s previous institution of higher education, demonstrating a minimum 3.0 GPA and either an associates degree or comparable coursework totaling a minimum of 60 credits, as determined by Admissions.

FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS
Application Required

Transfer students can apply for several Kean University Foundation Scholarships via an online application that is available between December 1st and March 1st for the following Fall semester. There is no need to apply individually for each scholarship, as the one online application will put you in the running for all of those which are available. While all transfer students who complete the application are eligible to compete for the following scholarships, the online application will also match candidates with many other KUF awards, depending on criteria fulfillment and annual availability.
